ESCWR Strategic Plan

Join us in celebrating the dedication and hard work of our staff at the recent unveiling of our organization's strategic plan. The presentation marked the culmination of months of collaboration and effort. We appreciate our staff immensely for their commitment, passion, and dedication. We are excited to implement our strategic plan and drive our organization toward a successful future.

ESCWR secures funds for teen driver education

We have secured $53,760 in funding from Ohio's "Drive to Succeed Scholarship Program" to support teenage drivers in Lake, Geauga, and Portage counties. The program aims to alleviate financial burdens for families, particularly the cost of driving schools, and ensure that eligible teenage drivers receive expanded driver training. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that 35 school districts and government agencies will receive grants totaling $2,495,655 from the program, benefiting about 5,500 students in 43 counties. Our partnership with the Suburban Driving School will enable over 100 students from five high schools to benefit from reduced-cost driver training. The initiative is crucial due to statistics showing that traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers in America. By providing access to driver training programs, we aim to equip teenage drivers with the skills and experience for safe road usage, contributing to safer communities. Interested parties can contact us for more information or inquiries regarding program eligibility at 440-350-2563. View the full article in the News Herald here
